Welcome to the Emsworth Memorial Garden

Following the unveiling and dedication of the memorial sculpture 'Absence' in 2006, our mission is now to maintain a fitting and tranquil place for people of all faiths, or none, to reflect in their own way and honour those local heroes who have given their lives in the cause of justice and peace.

Future Of Memorial Garden In Doubt

New volunteers desperately needed

The Memorial Roll

The names of 234 Emsworth war dead are engraved on plaques in the Emsworth Memorial Garden.

The Memorial Trail

Four waymarkers have been installed in and around Emsworth, each of the same basic design but with an individual plaque in the base representing different aspects of life in past times.

The trail runs from north of the Memorial Garden, through the heart of Emsworth, to the Mill pond on the coast.

The Garden

The Garden is a special place for reflection and contemplation, the centrepiece of which is the serene sculpture 'Absence'.
